Diets and nutrition seem to become one of the most popular topics nowadays. People taking care of their bodies know that proper nutrition is just a half way to the win.
But every popular topic is always surrounded by tons of myths and concept of "healthy food" is not an exception.
So what are healthy food myths? Let's examine some of them.
First - myth about separate nutrition. It is believed that separate nutrition
helps to loose weight but nutritionists say that this is not actually true. It is well known that the best food for people is a mixed one. There was held a research when two groups were eating food with reduced calories. First group was eating usual food and second one used principle of separate nutrition ' the result was the same. Some people using this method really lost in weight but this effect was reached mostly due to reduction of calories in food. This diet is rather unusual and besides not tasty thus unconsciously people start to eat less.
There is one quiet amusing myth. Some people insist that reading and watching TV during a mealtime is a very bad habit. The food is not assimilated properly and as a result you guaranteed to get gastritis. But people who do not hurry while eating usually have no problems with digestion. Just agree you will never watch TV or read the book while eating if you are really in a hurry.
The next one is the favorite women's myth. It affirms than less fat food you eat that slimmer body you have. We have to disappoint you ' stopping to eat fat food you really loose some weight but it is effective just for short period of time. Fats are very important ingredients for our organism as they help to assimilate vitamins and produce sex hormones. Lack of fat in organism is not good for skin. So do not restrict yourself in eating fats but try to eat less of bad fat (sausages, mayonnaise, cakes and so on). Here we can also add that vegetable oil is even more reach in calories than butter, therefore don't believe people who insist that you can eat liters of vegetable oil and be slim.
I met a lot of girls who believe that being on diet and eat rye-bread without restrictions do not make any harm. They believe that rye-bread is great for diet as it is rich in vitamins and cellulose and contains less of calories so eating rye-bread you do not gain weight.
In fact rye-bread is the same high-calorie as a white bread and even more. What you really need while dieting is bran bread made without use of yeast and of whole grains. Muesli is really good too.
One more quiet popular myth says that one person should drink at least two liters of water per day. It supposedly helps your body to get rid of toxins. But doctors say that big amount of water won't help in it. You just drink a lot that's all.
There is an opinion that lots of fresh fruit and vegetables are really good for health. But everything should be within reasonable limits.
The optimal ratio of fresh fruit and vegetables for healthy person should be 2:3. People having stomach and intestines diseases should be careful eating raw fruits and vegetables a lot. In order to get the necessary vitamins, you should periodically take multivitamin complexes this really will help you to be strong and healthy.
So if you are going to live long life, don't believe some strange myths check the information carefully and enjoy the life.
