Summer is round the corner… In the summer unpleasant sun effects on skin such as wrinkles, pigment spots, and what is the worst - skin cancer, increase. To protect the skin first of all, you should determine your skin phototype which depends on sensitivity to sunlight. Take this mini test and you will know which skin phototype you have. Then you can match the sun protection products to your phototype.
1. Which skin type do you have?
a. Sensitive skin tending to become irritated easily. You always choose cosmetics thoroughly.
b. Dry skin feeling tight after washing.
c. Normal skin. Not dry and not oily. Sometimes greasy luster appears on T-zone, sometimes a pimple crops up.
2. What is your skin ability to tan?
a. Does not tan at all or slowly, burns easily.
b. Tans slowly, does not burn when staying not long in the sunlight.
c. Tans easily, rarely burns.
3. Do you have freckles or birthmarks?

4. What natural hair color do you have?

When ‘a' prevails, you have skin phototype 1
When ‘b' prevails, you have skin phototype 2
When ‘c' prevails, you have skin phototype 3
Skin phototype 1:
Pale white skin often with freckles, blue eyes, red or blond hair. It does not tan but burns easily. This type requires skin care products with medium or high sun protection factor (SPF) depending on climatic zone.
Skin phototype 2:
Pale skin sometimes with freckles, blue or green eyes, blond hair. It tans poorly tending to become inflamed at the beginning and burns easily. This type needs skin care products with medium sun protection factor (SPF) according to climatic zone.
Skin phototype 3:
Swarthy or olive complexion, dark eyes and hair. Skin tans easily and rarely burns. Skin care products with medium or low sun protection factor (SPF) is good for this type.

I’ve got skin type №1, blue eyes, but brown hair. The skin burns very quickly, that’s why is better to use the sun cream with high sun protection factor. I usually use SPF 40 or 50.
