Besides washing, conditioning and using hair care products making your hair silky and shiny, hair diet is of great importance in its health. So here is a list of vitamins and minerals that will be necessary for hair strengthening.

- Food rich in iron: lentil, potatoes boiled in their jackets, soy bean curd, peanuts, sunflower seeds, oysters, beef, shrimps, hens and trout.
- Food stuffs that contain zinc: walnuts, salmon, cashew nuts, almonds, oysters.
- Food including biotin: beans and eggs help eliminate hair fragility.
- Food that contains selenium (for example, nuts)
- Food rich in vitamin B12 improves hair condition, so use a minimum of 2, 4 micrograms of the vitamin a day. It can be found in hen's meat, shellfishes, yogurts, home-made cheese and eggs.
- Products containing vitamin A (cheese, eggs, carrot, spinach) and vitamin C (citrus plants, tomato).
- Food containing calcium is necessary for hair growth and prevents hair fragility: milk, yogurts, cheese, broccoli, sesame seeds and spinach.
