Chrome plays a big role in metabolism of carbohydrates and fat, in synthesis of insulin as well. This element promotes formation and growth of child organism.
Supposedly lack of chrome causes atherosclerosis, pancreatic diabetes and arterial hypertension. Lack of chrome can be a reason of irritability, thirst, memory decrease. In bad cases there can be confusion of consciousness and other signs of CNS dysfunction.
Chrome daily requirement is 0,05-0,2 mg.
Main chrome sources are ale yeast, mean products, poultry, egg yolk, liver, wheat seeds, cheese, oysters, crabs, corn oil, mollusks. Some alcoholic drinks also contain chrome.
